Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed for hand physiotherapy services.

If a referral has been provided by another health care professional, please advise us so that it can be reviewed on or before our first consultation.

Do you do weekend appointments?

There is a limited number of Saturday appointments available. Please contact us to check availability.

Is there funding available for your services?

In some instances there is Medicare funding available.

CTP insurance and Works Compensation (SIRA) claims are covered.

If you have private health insurance, some of our services may be covered by your fund.

Is there a cancellation policy?

We understand emergencies occur and circumstances change from time to time. If you cannot keep your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule. As we are a mobile service, we require notification at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time, so our team members are able to adjust their timetable.

What is the process for WorkCover and CTP injury claims?

At Sydney Mobile Hand Physiotherapy, all our therapists are trained and accredited to assist you with your workers compensation or CTP motor vehicle injuries. Our mobile service ensures the treatment you require can be provided at the convenience of your home or place of work.

For us to invoice your insurance company directly you will need to have consulted a doctor or treating hospital and received a referral indicating your need for physiotherapy. You will also receive a Claim number from the relevant insurance company. If you do not have a Claim number or your claim is still under review but wish to proceed with your treatment earlier, then you will be required to pay out of pocket and claim back from your insurance once your claim has been approved.

Throughout your rehabilitation, we will regularly liaise with your GP, Surgeon, and case manager to ensure you receive the best care possible.

Do you provide nursing home visits?

Yes! We are a mobile service, so all consultations will be provided in a setting that is comfortable for you.
